Blessed in any season

so often we associate being blessed with the fact that we have everything that we want, or reaching something we have always dreamed, but the Bible teach us that it’s not what always happens, sometimes God is going to give you a ”no” as a way to bless your life, even if it cause you pain on that moment.

If you take a look in the Bible text  you will see that Jesus Himself asked God for something that He didn’t receive, he asked God to take away from him the cup of suffering, the pain of the Cross, more than the pain of the nails on his flesh but the worse pain he could feel, our sins. God said ”no” and Jesus went to the cross and that was the place where he saved you and I, where humanity found Hope and can be now reconciled with God, our Father.

so, the conclusion that I came is that sometimes the place that we are now in suffering can be where we will find the greatest victory of our lives, if we just fight till the end, and don’t quit, so God will come, and bring us help and confort and even if we don’t have everything we want we will feel blessed, as the Bible describes, like a tree planted by streams of water,  which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither, whatever they do prospers.

chasing after the wind

have you ever waited for something so long that when you finally achieve it is nothing of what you have been waiting for?

so reality is very different of our expectations, the worse is that now  you can´t be happy with what you have once you had the best, at least in your dreams.

Reality will never be as good as dreaming, but live your life searching for a dream is to live chasing after the wind.

so I came to the conclusion that my dreams hurt me a lot more than real things!
Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; He won’t leave you.
Deuteronomy 31:6  (via hirachelle)
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
Psalm 143:8 (via sarahsturgis)
When I think I am strong, weak I am. and when I recognize that without you I am nothing it is when you take me to places I thought I would never reach.

I feel my strength going away from me but your presence sustain me, Jesus!
